Escaped from teaching in 1988; spent 2 years learning the trade and passing Financial Planning Certificate examinations with a Life Insurance Office, 2 years as a general practitioner with a National Broker and 5 years with Britain’s largest Ethical IFA as a Senior Investment Manager. Specialises in U.K IHT and Trust planning for personal and business clients. Formed Axel Investments in April, 1997.
Andrea McNicholas – FPC, Cert PFS
Joined Axel in August 2000 as Trainee Independent Financial Adviser and became fully qualified in March 2002. Andrea decided to specialise in Mortgage related areas and passed her Mortgage Advice Qualification in June 2003 to offer fully qualified advice in all aspects of Mortgages.
Mark Priestley – Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning

Mark Priestley is our pension’s and retirement options specialist.  He has 25 years experience and is qualified to Chartered level. He has achieved the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC) and passed advanced examinations in Pensions (AF3), Investments (AF4) Holistic Financial Planning (AF5) and Taxation and Trusts (G10). He is also specially licensed to advise on more sophisticated pension and financial planning arrangements including income drawdown, phased retirement and pension funds in excess of £200,000.

Jacqueline Robson - Legal Services & Probate Specialist
Joined Axel in October 2006 as a Trainee Independent Financial Adviser and Legal Services Representative. She ensures the smooth processing of your business, from the initial contact onwards. Jacqueline is the person you will most likely meet first if you visit us.
Jane McShera – BA Hons
Co-ordinates all personnel and office procedures. Incharge of accounts, wages and general banking matters. Keeps the Principle firmly in his place and permanently on his toes.

Tom Hatley – BSC Hons
Tom is the newest member of our team having recently joined us after completing his Business & Management Degree. Tom is in charge of Axel’s Service Standards and coordinates between the Investment and Legal Services Departments.
